Compatible with our 2″ valves, such as the BV2000, PR2001, PR2002 and VR2000 (2-18 UNS-2A thread). this extension can be used with two-way breather valves or one-way vacuum relief valves to keep outside contaminants from entering an enclosure. This may be useful for an enclosure that’s housing sensitive electronics or an environment with sensitive optical parts.
It can also be used with a one-way pressure relief valve to keep contaminants from escaping an enclosure. A common application of this type of part would be in metal 3D printers, keeping metal dust from being expelled from the machine into your workspace.
This design forms an air-tight seal with the valve so any air passing through the valve must pass through the filter.

The flow chart below gives the flow performance of a BV2000-05-05 breather valve with no filter assembly, as well as with each of the available filter options. If flow rate is critical, the polyester filter offers the least flow resistance. If a high degree of filtration is required, a HEPA filter should be used.
