The 414B two-way pressure relief valve was originally developed to provide pressure relief to electrical cabinets aboard military reconnaissance aircraft in the event of rapid decompression. Since then, it has been used in other military enclosure applications that require EMI shielding due to its aluminum construction and electrically conductive chem film coating.
