The Two-Way 414 breather valve was originally developed to provide pressure relief to electrical cabinets aboard military reconnaissance aircraft in the event of rapid decompression. Since then, it has been used in many military enclosure applications that require EMI shielding owing to its aluminum construction and electrically conductive chem film coating.
